BY THE SEA

The nearest beach is just one kilometre away in Carrrigaholt where you can swim, fish or take a dolphin watching tour. There are lots of water sports in Kilkee including surfing and kayaking, a diving centre and a waterworld. So there's lots of choices no matter your adventure threshold, just don't forget your wetsuit!

EATING OUT

There are lots of fantastic restaurants on the Loophead Peninsula to suit every taste. The nearest one is an award-winning restaurant in Carrigaholt which also has a wonderful Artisan food hall. There is another restaurant in Kilbaha and a wonderful coffee shop and Gallery there too. There are a number of eateries and takeaways in Kilkee which is just a short drive away. All these restaurants supply local fresh seafood and live music is on offer in some of the pubs.

EXPLORING THE WILD ATLANTIC WAY

Whether by foot, car or bike there are lots of things to see on The Loophead Peninsula. Hike any of the beautiful  trails in the area - we supply a guide to all our visitors. There are also e-bikes for hire in Carrigaholt on which to experience all the hidden gems on the Peninsula. Heading west from Atlantic Way Lodge you can explore the fabulous Loophead Lighthouse and the Bridges of Ross and see the Wild Atlantic waves.
